Conformance

This site is built to target WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We describe it as partially conformant, which means it meets that standard in the areas we have tested, and we are not claiming more than we have measured.

What was tested

On 14 September 2026 every page of this site (the home page, the sample report, the confirmation page, this statement, the privacy notice and the error page) was tested with axe-core in a Chromium browser at four viewport widths: 320, 390, 768 and 1400 pixels. Every axe rule was enabled, including the sixteen that are switched off by default, among them target-size (WCAG 2.2 success criterion 2.5.8), which a default run would not have exercised at all. That is twenty-four runs in total, and they returned zero violations at Level A and Level AA. Each page was also checked for horizontal overflow at every one of those widths, and manually for keyboard operability and visible focus.

One rule does still flag: color-contrast-enhanced, which measures the 7:1 ratio required at Level AAA. This site targets Level AA, which requires 4.5:1 and which it meets, so we are naming that result rather than quietly running a narrower test that would not have reported it.

What that does not prove

Automated accessibility testing reliably detects somewhere between a third and a half of the barriers a disabled visitor actually encounters. It cannot tell whether alt text is meaningful, whether a heading structure makes sense, or whether a page is genuinely usable with a screen reader. A clean automated result is a floor, not a certification, and we will not present it as one.

Known limitations

• Teardown reports are generated from live measurements, so their content varies. The report template is built to the same standard as this site, but an individual report has not been individually audited.
• The request form relies on the browser's own validation messages, whose presentation we do not control.
